The 1000 mile round trip was well worth the effort with Lanaken SSH fetching the highest price paid for a colt on the night. Our handsome golden boy attracted commissioned bids from both overseas and UK residents who were unfortunately outbid in the sales room. Mother and son presented beautifully taking everything in their stride. Lanaken will leave for his fabulous new home post weaning in October. Couldn't have hoped for a better home. Congratulations!
Lanaken has been selected for the Brightwells & AES Elite foal Auction to be held at Addington Manor on the 19th of August. 23/07/16 A very successful outing for Jaquardeaux SSH at Braco Show.
1st Sport Horse / Hunter Young Stock
Champion Sport Horse / Hunter
Supreme Champion Reserve Hunter
In hand Supreme Champion Reserve Of Show
19/07/16 First outing for Jaffa Caxe SSH at the Scottish Horse Show. A tad over whelmed in her first class the CHAPS Open Non Native and placed third but a bit more settled in the CHAPS Inhand Non Native Young Stock and placed an admirable second place to the Overall Inhand Champion. We are very excited about this fillies future in the show ring and as a future broodmare. Jaquardeaux SSH (Solaris Amoureux x Quater) also presented himself very well and really stood out. A much better result in the Potential Performance Horse 2 & 3year olds placed 2nd to the winner and over all Champion of both his classes. The sun shone and the horses furthered their education so all in all a great day out.
02/07/16 Successful day out at Doune & Dunblane Show with
Jaquardeaux SSH by Solaris Amoureux winning
the young stock light horse breeding. This was his first outing since he was
shown alongside his dam as a foal. He found the event very exciting but behaved
impeccably given the circumstances. All credit goes to Michelle for the fabulous
work she did with him to get him ready as it was a last minute decision to take
him. It has to be said spectators and competitors's were in total awe with wonderful
comments of praise form the ring side. He grows more and more beautiful with
every day that passes. Quinine was most certainly
saving the best till last.
25/06/16 Solaris Buenno was well represented in the CHAPS classes today at the Royal Highland Show. Left the two year old gelding Sannabay's Jannosh his dam Kitty, handled by owner Lindsay McBride bred by Lauren Piercy placed 2nd in the CHAPS YNN 2/3 year old. To the right his full sister the yearling filly Sannabay's Kharisma also bred and handled by Lauren Piercy placed 2nd in the CHAPS YNN yearling and an admirable 6th place in the CHAPS ONN. Center stage, "Je Suis Belle" dam Bonnie, owned and bred by Eilihd Wilson placed 4th in the CHAPS YNN 2/3 year old. All three did very well in very good company but for us the best part of the day was the family introductions seeing them all meeting for the first time. It was great to see the increase in numbers in the coloured classes after so many years of low entries. Congratulations to all competitors, it was a great day out.
23/06/16 First outing for Lanaken SSH by Kambarbay at the Royal Highland show yesterday with his dam our KWPN Ster mare Abisag by San Remo in the sports horse class. A third place for Lanaken and a fourth for Abisag who looked fantastic throughout but not to the judges preference on this occasion. Lanaken sure is one laid back cool dude, he took everything in his stride and didn't put a hoof wrong. Special thanks to Michelle who works relentlessly to have them turned out to perfection and to husband Gilbert on his first outing to the Highland also. Very proud of the team and congratulations to all competitors!

Delighted to announce the arrival of yet another palomino filly by Kambarbay and once again an abundance of bling! This time out of Sue Lee's mare Daisynski. 11/06/16 We are deeply honored to announce the news received from Brian Stanley at the Royal Paddocks, Hampton Court, on this very special weekend which celebrates the 90th birthday of HM The Queen Elizabeth II that Her Majesty's coloured mare "Tiger Lily" (far left) has been confirmed in foal with a positive embryo heartbeat scan to our homebred homozygous bay tobiano Scottish Dutch Warmblood "Solaris Buenno" (Umenno x Edking Hill). Tiger Lily (Primitive Rising x Oberon) was bred by Her Majesty and competed with success at Intermediate CCI ** by grand daughter Zara, (then) Phillips. Tiger Lily's dam sire Oberon, also owned by the Queen, rumored to have been purchased at Stirling market, was a grandson of the showjumping progenitor Ico, a black tobiano stallion by Marco Polo. Ico was also the sire of John Whitakers black tobiano show jumping stallion Ico Sun AKA "Daz".
Happy Birthday Mam!
Now in her first year the chestnut tobiano filly, daughter of Solaris Buenno, dam Kitty by Abdu Gafur (Grannus x Wendland II) owned and bred by Lauren Piercy captured the attention of the sports horse judge at Central and West Fife show, winning the youngstock class and Championship. The duo also went on to win best yearling and Champion reserve inhand with a 2nd place in the Open coloured horse any age. Despite the small size of her parents both of which are under 16hhs, it looks like Kharisma is well on track to outgrow her parents. Congratulations Lauren look forward to seeing you out and about on the show circuit this season.
Yet another stunning colt foal by Solaris Amoureux owned and
bred by the very successful British Dressage rider, coach and list five judge
Catherine Elizabeth Eardley. An exquisite colt, with an abundance of suppleness
and elasticity. His walk is far reaching as is his trot and canter. With expressive
use of the fore leg and a powerful engine to carry him, this charismatic colt
is destined to be a dressage star of the future in the right hands. With his
dark rich coat, four white socks and beautiful face he fills the eye with his
presence and strikingly handsome looks.
His dam is Catherine's stunning Sandro Hit Daughter "N H Prima Donna" dam sire the Rubinstein son Rhodiamant. Catherine and Prima Donna placed 2nd in the British Dressage four year old championships and qualified for the young horse 5 & 6 Year old Championship finals. They have progressed up through the levels together and competed at Prix St Georges level.
Catherine very much wishes to breed a filly from this combination having seen so many of Amoureux's young stock compete with exceptionally good scores often in the high seventies on the dressage circuit, Prima Donna has therefore been bred once again to Amoureux this season and would ideally like to find a very special competition home for this talented and beautiful colt.
02/06/16 Beauty comes in many forms and this is one of them,
now two months old Lanaken thrives with each day that passes. A strikingly handsome
buckskin colt, who's beauty can only be appreciated in person. He has inherited
his dams beautiful hooded eyes and chiseled face. His character continues to
remain bold and confident, interested in investigating everything that en tours
him. His movement is light footed, regular and balanced. His gallop is exceptional,
covering ground at high speed he is often ahead of all the others when at play.
His coat will become very golden with a beautiful metallic sheen, just like
his full sisters, Kharisma SSH pictured below
and Jakira SSH. Ideally Lanaken would be best suited
to an ambitious competition home where his potential can be maximised. He is
very easy to handle and thrives on attention. He is very much a people person.
Now offered for sale available at weaning.
Please call to discuss any questions you may have 01786 825 768.
